NUGGETS FROM THE WORD
FOUR THINGS ABOUT GOD THAT EVERYONE SHOULD WANT TO KNOW
As we get to know God better, we will walk in a higher level of willingness and obedience (Isaiah 1:19). We must draw near to Him so that He can draw near to us and reveal His secrets to us (James 4:8; Psalm 25:14).
· TO KNOW HIS WILL
We can find out knowledge of God's will through His Word and through prayer
(Colossians 1:9; Psalm 25:4-5; Psalm 143:10).
· TO KNOW HIS WAYS
God made known His ways to Moses. He will make His ways known to us too if
we sincerely ask Him (Psalm 103:7; Psalm 25:4; Psalm 27:11; Psalm 86:11).
· TO KNOW THE LOVE OF HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST
God's will is that we love one another like He loves us (John 13:34). The Apostle Paul prayed that the Ephesians would come to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge so they may be filled with all the fullness of God
(Ephesians 3:19).
· TO KNOW THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION
If we earnestly desire to know God's resurrection power, we would pay the price
in fervent prayer and follow the instructions that He gives to us. The Apostle
Paul wrote in Philippians 3:10 that he wanted to know Christ and the power of
His resurrection.
NUGGETS FROM THE WORD
Be Encouraged
Saints of God, receive this promise and be encouraged concerning the salvation of your loved ones. God is faithful!
21 “As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore.”
NUGGETS FROM THE WORD
What Are You Doing With Jesus?
1 Corinthians 3:9 (KJV) says: “For we are labourers together with God…” The New Kings James Version states: “For we are God’s fellow workers…” 2 Corinthians 6:1 declares: “We then, as workers together with Him…” These scriptures are clear to us as believers in Christ that we are to be active participants in what God is doing in the earth today. We are ambassadors for Christ and are His representatives on earth (2 Corinthians 5:20 ). Jesus said: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father” (John 14:12 NKJV).
Let each of us be yielded vessels in doing our part in the Kingdom of God.
NUGGETS FROM THE WORD
You may ask the question: “What do I have to give to the Lord?” He wants all of us: spirit, soul, and body. We worship the Lord from our spirit. Our soul consists of our will, intellect, and emotions. We must have a willing mind and an obedient heart to serve our God, regardless of what our feelings may dictate to us. Then, we must take proper care of our bodies with disciplines that will keep us healthy and fit for our Master’s use. First Corinthians 6:19 confirms this. It says: “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”
NUGGETS FROM THE WORD
Heavenly Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus help us, your saints, to keep under our bodies and bring them under subjection so that we can hear Your voice clearly and accurately full the work that You have assigned us to do. Thank You. Amen.
“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” (1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV)
“Moreover, WHEN you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.” (Matthew 6:16 NKJV)
NUGGETS FROM THE WORD
All it takes is a desire to be willing, and our Heavenly Father will help us to be willing to do His will.
“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” (Philippians 2:13 NLT)
“being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
(Philippians 1:6 NKJV)
“If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;” (Isaiah 1:19 NKJV)
NUGGETS FROM THE WORD
The Lord is looking for a people who will bend for Him. If He says go north, they go north. If He says go west, west they go. If He tells them to start getting up at 5:00 to pray, it's a done deal. They're quick to obey.
”Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.“ (Psalm 37:4 NKJV)
The word "delight" means to be pliable--bending and moving easily and gracefully, flexible.
NUGGETS FROM THE WORD
Once upon a time, there was a man in despair. His enemies were closing in on Him. Fear was trying to overtake him. Despite all this, he kept a praise in his mouth (Psalm 34:1). And then he cried out to the Father of lights, the One who is, who was and who is to come, his Deliverer, his Fortress, his Defense, his Savior, his Very Present Help in the time of trouble, none other than the God of glory, the Lord God Almighty. The Lord heard his cry and delivered him out of all his troubles (Psalm 34:17 NKJV). Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8 NKJV). His ears are open to our cries, and He will deliver us out of all our troubles. “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him...” (2 Chronicles 16:9 NKJV).
I encourage each of us today to put our total trust in God, the Savior of the world. Let us also keep praises unto God in our mouths and keep our eyes fixed on Him. "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal: but the things which are not seen are eternal" (2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV).
God bless you all.
